Bilge Pumps
At long last, Strike Models is offering bilge pumps. We currently have two different versions and several different motors.The pumps come as an easy-to-assemble kit with instructions.
Both pumps use a very tough plastic injection molded impeller. The new impeller was tested to have slightly more flow than the cast pumps, and they do not suffer from bubbles during casting. The small pumps are typically for cruisers and destroyers while the large pumps are for large cruisers and larger. The large pumps are currently cast Swampworks pumps. The small pumps are based on the Swampworks design but are CNC machined for higher precision. The larger cast pumps still occasionally have some small bubbles on the outside of the chamber near the exit, but these do not affect performance.
